Yes, Jesus will Return!
Lu 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
2Pe 3:3-4 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
I recently heard a man discussing the return of Jesus. He was very adamant that Jesus wasn’t coming back. What was his reasoning on this? Well, since Jesus hadn't returned as yet, that meant he isn’t going to return. I read the same thing on a web page a few weeks ago. An atheist reasoned that because Jesus hasn’t returned yet, that meant, Jesus wasn’t coming back at all.
These thoughts are strikingly exactly as the Bible predicted!
As I write these thoughts, July 4th, 2005 is still a long way off. When I get up tomorrow July 4th will not be here. Nor will July 4th be here the next day or the next or the next. In fact one could almost feel it is never going to come. But it will. When the time is right, July 4th will be here.
When the time is right, folks, whether you believe or not; Jesus will come back for His church just like He promised.
About 2000 years ago it was written,
2Pe 3:8-11 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
The Lord isn’t slack and He isn’t a liar either. He is just giving you one more chance to repent. It is your choice so make the right choice because one day when you least expect it, He will come!
